Get involved in our social media activities starting from 09:00 AEST | 08:30 ACST | 07:00 AWST.

Create, follow, like and comment your way through our social media platforms as we find out what scientists get up to in their field (#ThisIsMyField), along with what they're currently researching (#ThisIsMyScience).

MONDAY 17 MAY Launch 2021 With so much on, we've decided to put on a special event just to tell you about all the fun things to expect this year. Get a closer look at this year's artwork, meet some of our volunteer crew and hear how much goes into preparing the range of exciting activities this year. 18:30 AEST | 18:00 ACST | 16:30 AWST.

STARTING TUESDAY 18 MAY

A new Mug of Science and Pod of Science episode will be released each morning and afternoon during the festival fortnight.

TUESDAY 18 MAY Tour the Synchrotron Have you heard of the Synchrotron, Australia's biggest particle accelerator? In our first tour for #PintAU21 we go behind the scenes with Dr Eleanor Campbell, a beamline scientist.  18:30 AEST | 18:00 ACST | 16:30 AWST.

WEDNESDAY 19 MAY

Get your buddies together or go it alone to compete for glory at our Pint Trivia event. Buy a $21 ticket (for the '21 festival - get it?) for your teams chance at winning a merch prize pack.

THURSDAY 20 MAY

Join the conversation in our moderated panel discussions where we'll hear from researchers across the country.

Panel 1: Highlighting the M in STEM

Join host Dr. David Farmer and panelists as we debate statistics, applied mathematics, and data science to highlight the M in STEM.

Panel 2: Can we cure cancer?

Join our host Clare Fedele and panelists as we discuss new frontiers for cancer treatments and explore advances in personalised medicine.

FRIDAY 21 MAY Tour a Forensic Chemistry Lab Tour with Dr William Gee around his forensic research lab where new fingerprint analysis methods are developed. 18:30 AEST | 18:00 ACST | 16:30 AWST.
