The mission of Pint of Science Australia is to elevate Australian research in a fun and inclusive way by providing a platform (primarily through a national festival and other science-engagement activities) that build the public’s appreciation of research and fosters high-quality science communication.

A Message from our Co-CEOs

It's that time again! Our wonderful Pint AU team has been hard at work all year to bring you the 2026 Pint of Science festival! New locations, new speakers and new topics!
While the festival is growing, our mission remains simple: to connect people with researchers and create space for curiosity, conversation and understanding. We’re living in a time of information overload, where sorting fact from fiction isn’t always easy — but access to real expertise and open dialogue can make a real difference in building understanding and clarity.
So, if you're keen to speak with a real scientist and learn what's really involved in research and new discoveries, why not take this chance and meet them at Pint 2026? We cannot wait to see you, your friends, and your family at one of our events!
This festival is made possible by our extraordinary network of volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and partners. Their commitment is what allows Pint of Science to reach communities across Australia and continue to grow each year.
To everyone involved — and to those joining us in the audience — thank you for being part of it.
We hope you enjoy the festival.
Cheers,
Brett van der Leest & Anna Oszmiana

Ticketing and event Frequently Asked Questions

Your ticket is the email confirmation you received after placing your order. If you can't find it, please first check your spam or junk folder. If you used a work email address, it is also possible that the confirmation email was blocked by your organisation’s email system.

If you are confident about the details of the event you booked, you can still attend on the day - the team at the door will be able to find your name on the guest list.

If you are unsure about the details of your booking, please email [email protected], and we will be happy to confirm them for you.

Unfortunately, we are bound by the venue’s capacity and cannot exceed the number of available spaces. All tickets are released at once, and once they are sold out, we are unable to offer additional tickets.

We recommend booking early, as many of our events sell out quickly. If any cancellations occur, those tickets will be made available on the website again, so it may be worth checking back periodically. Please note that we do not operate a formal waiting list.

Yes, we will have a limited selection of merchandise available for purchase at our events, including T-shirts, pins, pint glasses, and tote bags.

All merchandise purchases will be made via a QR code linking to our website. Please note that cash payments will not be accepted.

If you love our fabulous 2026 festival artwork and would like to take an item home, be sure to visit our staff quickly - once they’re gone, they’re gone!

We make every effort to ensure our events are fun and accessible to people from all backgrounds. However, we cover cutting-edge research, and many talks explore complex topics.

Overall, our events are designed or audiences aged around 17 years and older. That said, if your child has a strong interest in a particular subject, they will likely enjoy the event as well.
