Nandita will talk about how we use the recently discovered Gravitational waves to measure the rate of expansion of our Universe in an attempt to test our current model of the Universe and relieve some tension it is suffering currently (quite literally!).

How million of galaxies are helping uncover the mysteries of dark energy

The expansion of the universe is accelerating, and we do not yet have a compelling explanation for it. This is what we call the dark energy problem. In this talk, I will present what my team and I discovered about the nature of dark energy, with the first year of data from a new incredible telescope designed to solve this puzzle.
