Sexually transmitted infections and infertility

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) cause millions of infections globally every year. We will explore what STIs are, focussing on Chlamydia and gonorrhoea, discuss their impact on reproductive health and role in infertility, and talk about the different types of methods for prevention and treatment we are currently researching.

Tracking down Gonorrhoea: finding and quashing the resistance

The World Health Organisation says Gonorrhoea is a priority organism, because treatments have stopped working. But, we have to locate infections and stop treatment failures all on public funding budgets. Here, Olivia explains current issues around tracking Gonorrhoea in Queensland, and her cost-effective novel solution.
