Bleaching and Butterflyfishes - Looking Closer

Butterflyfishes, which rely on live corals for both habitat and food, are key indicators of reef health during coral bleaching events. This study examined the abundance and species composition of butterflyfishes at Norfolk Island reef before, during, and after its second ever bleaching event to assess the impacts of coral mortality on these fish populations.
