The epididymis is an unappreciated male reproductive tissue, harbouring key clinical answers to what makes a good quality sperm, development of male contraceptives, and most interestingly, the male contribution to our children’s future health.
Dr David Skerrett-Byrne is an Early Career Research who completed his PhD in 2019, has since published 32 research articles and attracted >$1.3 million in competitive funds. This year he was awarded the Ken Mitchelhill Young Investigator Award from the Australasian Proteomics Society; an honour bestowed upon one Australian researcher per year.
