Damien Huffer completed his PhD in 2012 (Australian National University) and postdocs at the Smithsonian and Stockholm University. He researches the illicit antiquities and human remains trade, frequently collaborating with international law enforcement.

This talk will cover the pros and cons of renewable energy public policies and the new and not so new technologies, alongside its relationship with climate change.

Originally from Argentina, Alejandra Cau-Cattan was contacted as part of the Australian Global Talent Programme, and moved to Brisbane in January 2023. She was previously the environmental superintendent of a power company for almost 10 years, and also the renewable energy authority of her state. Before she came to Australia she was the state environmental prosecutor.
