In the Operations team, you can focus on different aspects of the annual festival to best coordinate with Local teams across the country, or on running or improving year-round operations, with roles offered in Festival Operations IT, and Merchandising & Logistics.

We are currently searching for passionate volunteers to fill the following roles:

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for supporting content creation, social media management and digital marketing to promote Pint of Science Australia’s science engagement activities throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival.

Media Officer

Refer to the Media Officer Position Description for an overview of the role and how to apply.

The Media Officer is responsible for supporting engagement with media outlets, producing engaging blog articles, and assisting with post-production in podcast content, to enhance and promote Pint of Science Australia’s science engagement activities throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival.

Podcast Officer

Podcast Officers are responsible for producing content for and supporting engagement with Pint AU’s “Pod of Science” podcast, to enhance and promote Pint of Science Australia’s science engagement activities throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival.

We're a GST-registered charity. In this portfolio, you’ll manage the financials of Pint AU to ensure the long-term success of our science engagement activities and the annual festival.

In our Strategy and Policy team, you’ll play an important role in shaping our organisational goals, determining the best paths to achieve them, and measuring our progress.

Strategy and Policy Officer

The Strategic Partnership Officer is responsible for supporting the identification, development and management of relationships with key external stakeholders, including potential sponsors, partners, and collaborators. This role is critical to ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of Pint of Science Australia, as well as expanding its reach and impact within the science engagement community.
