I’m a PhD candidate at Deakin University exploring the intersection between the disciplines of architecture and neuroscience. I enjoy learning from different fields, helping form new collaborations and sharing in the excitement for communicating and celebrating the importance of research.

I am a zoologist, musician, public health teacher and avid science communicator! I run my own science outreach team in Tasmania, I play saxophone in a jazz band and I enjoy running education workshops and science festivals for people whenever I can!

I’ve just finished a PhD in biomedical research, but I’ve decided to shift from lab life to the more administrative side of science. I always love a good nerdy joke, and I’m constantly trying to share the joy of science and have new scientific adventures!
I am a qualified CPA who believes finance (and science!) should be approachable, accessible, jargon-free and understood by all!
I am also a horse-rider, hiker, swimmer, writer.

I am an advocate for equitable and accessible STEM education. I am currently an Outreach Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne, committed to helping people discover and pursue STEM interests and pathways.

I'm a pharmacist/stem cell researcher, dog lover and craft beer enthusiast. I love sharing our scientific world with the community. I have previous experience in the local team, looking forward now to contribute to the national team and learn a bit about what's happening around us.

With a background in media and communications, I'm passionate about creating engaging content that makes science accessible, relatable and exciting for everyone. You’ll often find me with a camera and microphone in hand, asking as many curious questions about science and research as possible!
Scarlett has a PhD in bee training (yes, really). She pursues science communication alongside bee cognition, pollination, and conservation research. Scarlett is an advocate of effective science communication to make research more accessible. She has a dog and loves reading long fantasy series.
