Closing the Loop - Plasticulture
Ing Kong
(La Trobe University)
Agriculture uses a humongous amount of plastic, from the nursery stage to the postharvest stage. In fact, agricultural sectors worldwide consume 2,250,000 tons of plastics per year. Despite their many benefits, agricultural plastics are emerging as a threat to environmental sustainability. We’re working out how we can convert agricultural plastics into valuable products!
