Dona's research focuses on understanding how changes in DNA patterns affect brain tumours in children. By studying these patterns closely, their lab hopes to uncover new insights into how tumours develop and progress, with the goal of finding better ways to diagnose and treat them. Overall, the goal is to offer hope and brighter futures for children and families affected by these devastating diseases by advancing personalized and effective treatment strategies.

Avian influenza is a major concern in the poultry industry, especially for chickens. My research focuses on using genome-wide CRISPR knockout technology to pinpoint which chicken genes are essential for fighting off the flu virus. This could lead to better strategies for protecting poultry from this devastating disease.
