We're a GST-registered charity. In this portfolio, you’ll manage the financials of Pint AU to ensure the long-term success of our science engagement activities and the annual festival.

In the Operations team, you can focus on different aspects of the annual festival to best coordinate with Local teams across the country, or on running or improving year-round operations, with roles offered in Festival Operations IT, and Merchandising & Logistics. 

We are currently searching for passionate volunteers to fill the following roles:

Director, Operations

The Director, Operations is responsible for implementing operational improvements across Pint of Science Australia, to improve volunteer satisfaction, retention rates, and succession planning, to ensure the operational sustainability of the organisation. The Director, Operations is accountable for ongoing operations of Pint of Science Australia, including the successful execution of the annual Pint of Science Festival and merchandising.

Promote science engagement across our Podcast and Blog, or help spread the word of #PintAU, our annual festival and science engagement activities across traditional and digital media channels!   

We are currently searching for passionate volunteers to fill the following roles:

Director, Brand and Communications

The Director, Brand and Communications is responsible for leading public engagement with Pint of Science Australia through traditional media and digital communications channels. This includes the development of a media and communications strategy for the annual festival and the off-season, reviewing current internal communications practices and managing the Pint AU brand.

Senior Communications Coordinator

Refer to the Senior Communications Coordinator Position Description for an overview of the role and how to apply.

The Senior Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing digital communications to the public, for the purpose of increasing engagement with Pint of Science Australia and its science engagement activities. This includes contributing to the communications strategy for the annual festival and off-season activities, supporting the management of internal communications, and the Pint AU brand.

Senior Media Coordinator

Refer to the Senior Media Coordinator Position Description for an overview of the role and how to apply.

The Senior Media Coordinator is responsible for coordinating traditional communications to the public and overseeing the production of engaging blog articles and podcast content, to increase Pint AU’s science engagement activities and the public’s engagement with Pint AU throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival.

In our Strategy and Policy team, you’ll play an important role in shaping our organisational goals, determining the best paths to achieve them, and measuring our progress.
