Volunteer Lifecycle Officer 

The Volunteer Lifecycle Officer is responsible for developing a program to support the effective recruitment, engagement, retention, and off-boarding of volunteers in the organisation. The Volunteer Lifecycle Officer will play a vital role in managing and enhancing the volunteer experience, ensuring that our volunteers are motivated, committed, and valued contributors.

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for supporting content creation, social media management and digital marketing, to promote Pint of Science Australia’s science engagement activities throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival.
This role plays a pivotal role in fostering a strong social media community, increasing awareness of Pint AU across digital platforms and creating a cohesive brand.

Media Officer

The Media Officer is responsible for supporting engagement with media outlets and producing engaging blog articles and podcast content, to enhance and promote Pint of Science Australia’s science engagement activities throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival. This role plays a pivotal role in fostering media relationships and increasing awareness of Pint AU initiatives, as well as supporting content creation for Pint AU digital engagement channels.

Festival Operations Officer

Festival Operations Officers are critical connecters between the National and Local teams in preparation for, and during the delivery of, the Pint of Science festival in Australia, held in May each year. Festival Operations Officers are responsible for liaising with, and supporting, City Coordinators and local teams, to develop and deliver successful in-person science engagement events. This includes supporting the organisation of events across the country, troubleshooting, and assisting the broader Local and national Festival Operations teams as required.

IT Officer

The IT Officer is responsible for supporting web-based solutions used by Pint of Science Australia. This includes implementing back-end changes to the website and maintenance of the Microsoft Office 365 environment, as well as onboarding and offboarding during recruitment seasons.

Strategic Partnership Officer

The Strategic Partnership Officer is responsible for supporting the identification, development and management of relationships with key external stakeholders, including potential sponsors, partners, and collaborators. This role is critical to ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of Pint of Science Australia, as well as expanding its reach and impact within the science engagement community.
