Director, Finance

The Director, Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Pint of Science Australia (Pint AU), ensuring effective financial management, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. The Director, Finance oversees the organisation’s financial position to ensure financial viability and minimise financial risk.

Festival Operations Manager

The Festival Operations Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of the annual Pint of Science Australia festival. This includes responsibility for the effective and successful management of volunteer time and the quality of the Pint of Science Australia festival experience. The Festival Operations Manager’s duties and responsibilities may include interviewing, selecting, and hiring volunteers; training new and existing volunteers; planning, assigning, and directing work of volunteer teams; ensuring close and clear communication between the National and Local teams; and providing high-level updates, recommendations, and analysis to the Director, Operations and the Leadership team.

Media Manager

The Media Manager is responsible for managing traditional communications to the public and overseeing the production of engaging blog articles and podcast content, to increase Pint AU’s science engagement activities and the public’s engagement with Pint AU throughout the year, including the annual Pint of Science festival. This includes external engagement with traditional media outlets to disseminate information about the annual festival and Pint AU’s off-season activities and managing the development of podcast and digital journalism content.

Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is responsible for managing digital communications to the public, for the purpose of increasing engagement with Pint of Science Australia and its science engagement activities. This includes contributing to the communications strategy for the annual festival and off-season activities, supporting the management of internal communications, and the Pint AU brand. This role plays a crucial part in building the Australian public’s appreciation for science by increasing their engagement with Pint AU’s science activities.

Merchandise and Logistics Manager

The Merchandise and Logistics Manager is responsible for the logistical management of merchandise and purchases, with a particular focus on managing merchandising stocks and distributing stock to volunteers, customers, and festival venues, as required. Branded merchandise plays a key role in recognising the time and effort of Pint AU volunteers across national and local teams. This position is the key link between the annual digital artist, merchandise vendors and the Pint of Science AU Leadership Team.

Strategic Partnership Manager

The Strategic Partnership Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including potential sponsors, partners, and collaborators. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth Pint of Science Australia, as well as expanding its reach and impact within the science engagement community.
