Robot assisted physical rehabilitation

Dr Shahid Hussain (Assistant Professor of Engineering, University of Canberra)
Robot assisted rehabilitation of neurologically impaired patients is gaining recognition among the rehabilitation engineering and physical therapy community. Do we really need robot assisted physical rehabilitation?

Dr Hussain is working at University of Canberra as Assistant Professor of Engineering. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2013.

Frailty is in the eye of the beholder

Dr Imaina Widagdo (Adjunct Researcher, University of South Australia)
Frailty is associated with adverse health outcomes in older people. But how is frailty identified and measured? We'll talk about different types of frailty measures and how they may identify different groups of older people as frail.

Dr Imaina Widagdo is a pharmacist with a certification in geriatric pharmacy, who completed her PhD at the UniSA in 2016. In her previous role with the Department of Health she was awarded a data fellowship program with CSIRO’s Data61.
